Roof-Fast Cap

Roof-Fast Cap is a modified bitumen cap ply designed for use in single- or multi-layer modified bitumen roofing. Product consists of glass fiber reinforcement impregnated and coated with styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) modified bitumen. Top surfacing is granules. Back surfacing is a release film that is removed during application. Product contains a self-adhesive bitumen layer that is exposed and contacted during application; refer to manufacturer for product uses and application details. Rolls have approximate dimensions of 33ft x 39-3/8in.

ASTM D6163
Product has met specification requirements of ASTM D6163 Type I Grade G. Product has additionally been evaluated for Accelerated Weathering (2,000hr of ASTM D4798 / ASTM G155) as described in ASTM D5147.  

ASTM E108 (Fire)
Product has met Class C requirements of ASTM E108 when installed over minimum 15/32in thick APA-rated plywood decks with Roof-Fast Base. Optional: S.A.M. Adhesive primer or S.A.M. Adhesive LVC primer. Slope is limited to 2in:12in or less.

CSA A123.23
Product has met specification requirements of CSA A123.23 Type A Grade 1.

FM 4474 (Wind)
Product has been evaluated for Wind Uplift Resistance in accordance with ANSI FM 4474 Appendix D. Refer to Manufacturer for tested assembly details with corresponding uplift pressure as well as supporting laboratory test report documentation.

UL 1897 (Wind)
Product has been evaluated for Wind Uplift Resistance in accordance with UL 1897. Refer to Manufacturer for tested assembly details with corresponding uplift pressure as well as supporting laboratory test report documentation.
